This week we’ve added 17 items to our inventory. First from Gold’s, classic Worcestershire Sauce available by the gallon. Next from Bake Crafters, we have two new items. A Kaiser Roll and Dinner Roll, both are whole grain making them K12 compliant. From Tony’s Pizza we have two new individually wrapped deep dish whole grain options, a classic cheese and pepperoni pizza. Great for any school establishment. Flowers Bakery is now offering a Whole Grain White Sub Roll 5″. Adding more K12 compliant items, we have a Whole Grain Cinnamon Roll, individually wrapped from Super Bakery and a Whole Grain English Muffin from Burry. Keeping on the school items bus, three new lunch kits from ES FOODS. A Chicken Salad, Red Pepper Hummus and Steak with Marinara sauce kit. Next from Del Monte, 100% Pineapple Juice. Two new non-foods item, a 4cup carrier tray that will hold any size from 4-44 ounces, and a White Container 8x8x3 with 3 compartments. Also two ham additions to inventory as well, one from Thin N’ Trim, a Virginia Baked Ham pre sliced and Smoked Ham from Hillshire. Lastly we have from Deep River Snacks their Original Salt Potato Chips, now in 1oz bags.

Semolina is a type of flour made from the wheat middlings of durum wheat mainly used in making pasta, and couscous.
This week we’ve added 6 new items to our inventory. First from M. Robzen, a new Ribeye Shaved Steak. Next from Flowers we have two new items, first a White Deli Bread, Deli-style loaf has a rich white interior crumb and flavor. And the softest Texas Toast breads. New from Swift Black Angus a Fresh Chuck Flap, exceptionally tender and juicy. Next a Fresh Smoked Beef Brisket, slow cooked for up to 10 hours, naturally hardwood smoked, just heat and serve! Lastly from Empress, a Giant Wrapped Red Straw. Sophisticated as well as practical, Empress products are designed to exceed your expectations.
More often than not mussels are generally served with a couple thick planks of toasted bread used for sopping up the juices from the cooking process… also known as broth diving.
For this Caesar salad, I like to treat the bread bowl as if it was a crouton (a giant round crouton), seasoning with the same garlic flavor profile as I would a standard crouton.

This week we’ve added 21 new products to inventory. From D’Allesandro, we’ve added two new products. First, a Distilled White Vinegar Powder, this ready-to-use powder can be added directly to brining liquids, marinades, and sauces or sprinkled on a variety of snack foods for authentic vinegar flavor. Next a Tomato Powder, made from select red ripe tomatoes with sweet, tangy tomato flavor. From Pellman we’ve added 5 new desserts. A Peanut Butter Cheesecake, this cake has a hint of peanut butter on a chocolate crumb crust. It is topped with chocolate cream cheese icing and semi-sweet chocolate drops. Their Creamy Cheesecake, velvety smooth body of fresh cream cheese and sour cream is set in a real graham cracker crust and dusted with graham cracker crumbs. A traditional Carrot Cake, a moist double layer cake brimming with grated carrots, real pineapple, and chopped walnuts, spiced with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, and topped with cream cheese icing. A Triple Chocolate Cake, creamy chocolate frosting surrounds four layers of moist, densely-textured chocolate cake. And last from Pellman, a thin layer of strawberry glaze and cream cheese icing is sandwiched between two light-colored layers of a vanilla-flavored cake. Naan is a leavened, oven-baked flatbread found in the cuisines of Middle East, Central Asia, and Indian. Over the years this has become one of my personal favorite staples in the bread world.

A rustic sub roll, an unsliced white roll, both 8″ and 12″, and a medium kaiser roll. General Mills has a new stone ground flour, medium granulation and mild flavor. From Advance we have new sirloin beef slices, bulk hand trimmed Midwestern sirloin, marinated with food starch to enhance flavor and value. Empress Earth has introduced two jumbo paper straws, featured in black and white. And a clear unwrapped straw. Then a lide seal saddle deli bag (say that 5 times fast) from Elkay, with blue writing saying “Fresh To Go”. Lastly, we have whole grain Flamin’ Hot Cheetos snack bags, reduced fat.
Curious about the name? Well, the use of naan bread to create a taco equals – naco – naturally! Cafe H, Korean BBQ Beef is the perfect catalyst for an easy and flavorful twist on a traditional taco. We’ve added 2 new ‘No Antibiotics Ever’ items from Tyson; unbreaded Applewood Smoked Boneless Wings and unbreaded Applewood Smoked Bone-In wings. From Cambro we’ve added a Kelly-Green lid for 2 and 4 quart foodservice containers. And, from Duro we’ve added a kraft brown paper bags with handles.

You asked for it and we brought it in, new from the artisan deli meat experts at McKenzie we’ve added pre-sliced options of their Roasted Turkey, Honey Ham and Angus Roast Beef deli meats. McKenzie deli meats are all natural, ABF free and contain no growth hormones or nitrates. Lastly, in non-foods we’ve added 7″ Kraft Paper hotdog holders from SQP.

Three new items have been added to our inventory this week. From Rich’s we’ve added mini whole grain flat bread. With a 1 ounce equivalent of whole grain these mini flat breads are perfect for school and nutrition-minded menus. From Jennie-O we’ve brought in new dark meat turkey patties. These turkey burgers are packed with flavor, and they’re an all-natural and minimally processed. Lastly, in non-foods, from GenPak we’ve added another size of the all new and very popular ProView containers.
