Foodservice Recipe: Golden Bacon and Blue Pizza
This premium pizza is sure to impress with mouthwatering savory flavor from caramelized onions, crispy bacon, blue cheese crumbles and toasted walnuts.
Serves: 1 pizza
2 tablespoons butter
3 (4 cups) medium sweet onions item #26132
2 teaspoons chicken granulated bouillon
12 inch prebaked pizza shell
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 1/2 ounces Hormel bacon topping item #73196
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese item #5129
1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts item #81827
- In large skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add onions and bouillon; cooked, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until onions are softened and golden.
- Top pizza dough with mozzarella cheese, onion and bacon pieces. Sprinkle with blue cheese and walnuts.
- Cook at 450˚/500˚ for approximately 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
