Accounts Receivable

Dennis Paper & Food Service is a vibrant and fast growing Employee Owned (ESOP) company looking for additional office help in Accounts Receivables. This person will be involved in processing customer payments in various forms into computer systems and processing and preparing for bank deposits. This full time with benefits position also is involved in various other various accounting and finance projects and is part of a larger credit team reporting to the Credit Manager. This is a Monday through Friday full-time position.

Night Warehouse Manager

Reports To:  Director of Operations

Work Hours:  Sunday 4 p.m. start, finishing when trucks are loaded.  Monday – Thursday, 4:45 p.m. start, finishing when trucks are loaded.  Fridays on a rotating basis with the assistant manager.

Job Description:  The following tasks are some specific requirements although other tasks may not be listed or at this time not part of current job description.  It also must be noted that this is a working manager position.

  • manage all night crew personnel (order selectors, loaders, yard jockey, asst manager)
  • work closely with Transportation Manager regarding truck fleet issues
  • work closely with Day Warehouse Manager and Inventory to rapidly resolve issues that may be hampering the efficient shipping of product
  • monitor nightly workflows and work with Operations Manager to improve efficiency
  • ensure that pallets are put together properly and trucks are loaded safely and properly
  • monitor, fix if possible and report any safety issues
  • look carefully for items that are showing inventory but are not in the slot
  • personally maintain a positive attitude and create and develop the same for our night crew
  • supervise the security of the building at night by making sure trucks and trailers are sealed and the building and grounds are secure at the end of the shift
  • ensure all truck refrigeration units are running properly
  • nightly building inspection to ensure proper operation of plant equipment and employee safety
  • cube trucks for efficient picking by order selectors and unloading by the drivers
  • adhere to good GMP’s and government regulations
  • operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks) safely

Safety Responsibility:
Dennis Paper and Food Service is committed to ensure that all employees exercise safe work practices.  All accidents or injuries will be reported, investigated and addressed to avoid similar future occurrences.  When corrective or disciplinary action becomes necessary, the specific situation – policy violation, misconduct, violation of safe work practices or performance problems – and the work background of the individual will be thoroughly reviewed.  The corrective action taken may involve an informal counseling, written warnings or more serious disciplinary steps such as suspension or termination depending upon the severity of the infraction.

Qualification Requirements:
The Night Warehouse Manager position requires a person who is responsible, punctual, self-motivated and pays attention to detail with an intense focus on safety.  The Night Warehouse Manager must be able to communicate well orally and in writing, must have basic computer skills and must possess or be able to attain the knowledge and technical skills necessary to perform all tasks related to the position.  Physical requirements include being able to lift as much as 90 pounds on an infrequent basis and 30 to 60lbs up to 50 times per shift.

Pay Structure:
The first 90 days there will be a probationary period.  At the end of this period there will be a review performed by the Operations Manager.  This is an exempt position with salary pay.

Night Order Selector Trainee

Are you self motivated with a strong attention to detail? We’re looking for you! As a Night Order Selector you are responsible for correctly identifying and selecting product(s) throughout the facility as well as safely and effectively building pallets to facilitate ease of delivery.

Night Order Selector Trainee I positions work in a warehouse environment, which is fast paced, repetitive and require continuous movement.

The schedule is Sunday – Thursday with the occasional Friday, 5:30pm until the job is done.

Starting pay is $13hr and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying product being picked is consistent with the policies and procedures as set forth in our Food Safety Plan
  • Ability to work in the freezer
  • Ability to operate several types of Powered Industrial Equipment
  • Strong adherence to all safety measures
  • Ability to lift 10 –70 lbs is required and performed repeatedly throughout the course of the shift, occasionally lifting 100 lbs from all possible pick locations to include below the waist/knees and over the head. Lifts may occur at a rate of 125 times per hour

Qualifications Requirements:

The Night Order Selector must possess basic reading skills. The Selector must also have the skills to read and or identify or record product associated with the tags.
