Routing Analyst
Hampden, ME

We are currently seeking a full-time Routing Analyst to join the Transportation team. The Routing Analyst’s primary responsibility is the planning, dispatch and assignment of routes to drivers.   The employee in this position plays a key part in making business decisions including the development of new runs and the elimination of runs. This is a fast paced position and the successful employee must have the ability to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.

This is a salaried Sunday – Thursday position.  Hours are 2:30- 6:30 on Sunday and 9am – 7:30 Monday-Thursday.  The ability to come in early and/or stay late due to need is required.

Transportation Compliance Clerk 
Hampden, ME

We are currently seeking a full-time Transportation Compliance Clerk to join the Transportation team. The Transportation Clerk is responsible for making sure all compliance requirements are met within the transportation department.  This includes maintaining: Driver logs, fuel reporting and tracking truck maintenance, along with a number of other compliance requirements.

This position works closely with the Routing Analyst to ensure that drivers are working within their hours of service and serves as a backup router when needed.

Director of Risk Management
Hampden, Maine

The Director of Risk Management is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of Food Safety, Employee Safety/Wellness and Inventory Control. The Director of Risk Management works with Operations Management to mitigate food safety risk through the preventative controls program including HACCP and related Federal and State food safety requirements. This also includes serving as the lead for all product recalls, third party inspections/audits and interactions on issues of food safety.

Further, the Director of Risk Management works proactively to ensure a safe working environment for all Dennis Paper & Food Service Employees. This position provides leadership in all areas of employee safety, including creating and presenting new hire training’s as well as required yearly training’s. Working in conjunction with Human Resources, this position also participates in, and provides leadership, in the area of employee wellness and serves as a member of the Wellness Committee.

Finally, this position oversees the Inventory Management program. This includes overseeing and maintaining inventory control protocols, overseeing cycle counts, managing inventory accuracy and providing feedback to increase efficiencies within the warehouse.

Qualifications:

  • The Director of Risk Management position requires a highly motivated, self-managing individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. This individual must also have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and empathy and accountability to the company, community and fellow employees.
  • Further this individual must be able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals including those from regulatory agencies, auditors, food safety professionals and warehouse workers both orally and in writing.
  • Previous food safety experience and demonstrated ability to successfully lead an Employee Safety Program is preferable.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Night Order Selector

Night Order Selector Trainee

When the sun goes down, we get to work!

We’re growing and we need self motivated individuals with a strong attention to detail! As a Night Order Selector you are responsible for correctly identifying and selecting product(s) throughout the facility as well as safely and effectively building pallets to facilitate ease of delivery.

Night Order Selector Trainee positions work in a warehouse environment, which is fast paced, repetitive and require continuous movement.

The schedule is Sunday – Thursday with the occasional Friday, 5:30pm until the job is done.

Starting pay is $14hr and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying product being picked is consistent with the policies and procedures as set forth in our Food Safety Plan
  • Ability to work in the freezer
  • Ability to operate several types of Powered Industrial Equipment
  • Strong adherence to all safety measures
  • Ability to lift 10 –70 lbs is required and performed repeatedly throughout the course of the shift, occasionally lifting 100 lbs from all possible pick locations to include below the waist/knees and over the head. Lifts may occur at a rate of 125 times per hour

Qualifications Requirements:

The Night Order Selector must possess basic reading skills. The Selector must also have the skills to read and or identify or record product associated with the tags.
