Account Executives at Dennis Paper & Food Service are the primary point of contact with customers, supporting and servicing their foodservice needs and managing the relationship in a manner that meets company objectives.

Freezer Operator

This position’s primary responsibilities are putting freight away using the proper workflow and replenishing pick slots.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work safely at all times
  • Put away all freight in assigned areas
  • Ensure proper rotation
  • Make ti/hi change suggestions as necessary
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, stock pickers (“high rises”) and other warehouse equipment safely and as instructed
  • Inspect warehouse equipment and safety equipment daily and turn in an inspection sheet
  • Always wear a properly adjusted harness, hooked to a fall limiter when work platform is 4’ above the floor or greater
  • Ensure that inventory replenishments (“drops”) are done before leaving and turn in a drop report with an on dock/in transit report each day at the end of the shift
  • Report hidden damage or receiving errors to the receivers as quickly as possible
  • Use time between loads appropriately:  cleaning, working through excess overstock, reslotting items
  • Dress in company uniforms that are clean and presentable
  • Keep work area clean and free of pallet pieces, plastic pallet wrap and label backings; clean up any spills or damaged product
  • Ensure that transfer items from the coolers are put away properly and can be located by the night crew
  • Keep overstock pallets at a minimum
  • Remove ice as necessary and dispose of properly
  • Wear proper PPE at all times
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Freezer suits, gloves and hats will be provided by Dennis Paper & Food Service

Qualifications Requirements:  This position requires someone that is positive, responsible, reliable, self-motivated and pays attention to detail.  A person in this position must have basic math skills and the ability to communicate well orally.  Must possess or be able to attain the knowledge and technical skills necessary to perform all tasks related to the position.  Physical requirements include lifting 25 – 60 pounds up to 700 times/day and cases up to 90 pounds in weight up to 25 times/day.  Position requires standing on concrete surfaces and elevated work platforms for extended periods of time.

Part-Time Shuttle Driver
Lewiston

Dennis Paper and Food Service has a rare opening available for a part-time Shuttle Driver.  The position will leave from the Lewiston yard.  The Shuttle Driver is primarily responsible for transporting loaded and empty trailers between the main warehouse and the shuttle drop off point.  This individual must be self-motivated and self managed.  Shuttle Drivers are required to perform their duties in a timely manner with little or no supervision and are required to comply with all company rules and DOT laws and regulations.

The schedule is Sunday – Thursday.

This is an overnight position.

Night Order Selector Trainee

Are you self motivated with a strong attention to detail? We’re looking for you! As a Night Order Selector you are responsible for correctly identifying and selecting product(s) throughout the facility as well as safely and effectively building pallets to facilitate ease of delivery.

Night Order Selector Trainee I positions work in a warehouse environment, which is fast paced, repetitive and require continuous movement.

The schedule is Sunday – Thursday with the occasional Friday, 5:30pm until the job is done.

Starting pay is $14hr and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying product being picked is consistent with the policies and procedures as set forth in our Food Safety Plan
  • Ability to work in the freezer
  • Ability to operate several types of Powered Industrial Equipment
  • Strong adherence to all safety measures
  • Ability to lift 10 –70 lbs is required and performed repeatedly throughout the course of the shift, occasionally lifting 100 lbs from all possible pick locations to include below the waist/knees and over the head. Lifts may occur at a rate of 125 times per hour

Qualifications Requirements:

The Night Order Selector must possess basic reading skills. The Selector must also have the skills to read and or identify or record product associated with the tags.
